Wirral’s year as the Liverpool City Region Borough of Culture draws to a close with nine local community organisations set to receive funding to create a lasting legacy to the programme.

Local artists are set to make their mark on Birkenhead Market’s covered outdoor space as part of a new Art Jam event.

The programme was devised following a research project undertaken by Wirral Council’s Public Health team.

Wirral Council’s P&R Committee met at Wallasey Town Hall on November 6.

The project is based around the support and relationships gained from an extended family.
