A number of projects at Wirral Country Park have been completed in preparation for next year’s 50th anniversary, marking the official opening of the park in 1973.
A series of workshops are taking place over the next few months aimed at raising awareness of the beauty and benefits to the environment of the wide range of wildflowers in Wirral.
The By Ours Bebington community project is organising a series of pop-up events this month to display the results of the By Ours Neighbourhood Street Survey. There will be free giveaways of spring bulbs, refreshments and bike repairs.
Owners of boats in the area at Heswall shore are encouraged to come forward and identify their property to help with making safety improvements to the area.
Children at nine schools in Bebington are helping to make streets in the area safer and healthier for their journeys to school, as part of By Ours Bebington. The community project, led by the charity Sustrans with Wirral Council, helps residents, businesses and schools to redesign their own streets.
More than 1,250 homes and businesses close to the north Wirral coast will enjoy greater protection from the risk of flooding after works to strengthen the sea embankment.
