Wirral’s online mental wellbeing hub for children and young people
Use Branch to ‘grow you own way’!
Looking after your mental wellbeing is one of the most important and kindest things that you can do for yourself. Children and young people today face many challenges to their mental health, dealing with their education, relationships and the online world. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start!
It’s Children’s Mental Health Awareness week, this week, and we thought we’d give a shout out to BRANCH, an online mental wellbeing hub in Wirral for children and young people.
What’s it all about?
BRANCH supports children up to 18 and up to 25 for young people with SEND. The hub provides support guides, tips and tools on a variety of topics and links to the services available in Wirral all in one place. BRANCH was created so that children and young people can decide what services are the best fit for them. You can create your own profile and choose and save resources and tools to help you “grow your own way!”
If you’ve not heard of BRANCH yet, watch this handy guide to using the hub:
Parents and carers can get support too!
There’s also a space for parents and carers on BRANCH, where you can get tips on how to talk to children and young people about their mental wellbeing. There are guides and resources designed to help understand what children and young people might be experiencing and how you can help.
There’s also an area for practitioners
Practitioners can use Branch to get support for any children or young people they might be worried about. You can search for services, share Branch with a child or young person and even start a referral on Branch for Professionals.
Behind Branch is Wirral Council and the Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board, Wirral Place. Day to day, the hub is run by many different organisations and charities across Wirral, and it continues to grow with new services coming on board on a regular basis.
