If you, or someone you know, struggle to access the information on the SENDLO website then the informal and supportive SENDLO Drop-In sessions could be just what you need.

SENDLO is Wirral’s Local Offer of SEND Services. The website brings together information about the local services and support available across education, health and social care for families with children and young people aged 0 to 25, who have special educational needs and/or disabilities.

At the SENDLO Drop-Ins, you can sit with a SENDLO Officer who will help you find the relevant information that you are looking for and answer any questions that you may have about the Local Offer in Wirral. The SENDLO Drop-Ins have been designed to support people who have no access to the Internet, speak English as a second language and those who struggle to navigate the online world.

The first SENDLO Drop In took place at Moreton Library in January, and they are now taking place weekly in different venues across the borough.

Commenting on the new service, Stephen Bennett, Chair of the Children, Young People and Education Committee said:

“Making sure that our Local Offer is accessible to everyone that needs it is really important. We listened to your feedback from the launch of the SENDLO Drop-Ins and there are now twilight sessions available for parents and carers who work full time or can’t come during the day.”

You can see the full schedule of dates, times and venues for the drop-in sessions on the SENDLO website on the What’s on page.
