Wirral residents who would like to avoid extra tip trips by getting their garden waste collected are being reminded to sign up or renew by Monday 20 May to get best value for money.

The collection period runs from 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2025, but residents hoping to receive their permits in time for their first collection should sign up by Monday 20 May.

After 20 May, the subscription cost of £55 for the first brown bin and £31.50 for each additional bin will stay the same, but bin permits may not be received in time for the first collection.

Brown bin collections are fortnightly, with a four-week winter pause.

Subscribers to the 2024-25 collection service will be able to claim a free tea or coffee when buying a slice of cake in the Floral Pavilion café or the Williamson Art Gallery and Museum café (all teas and coffees are included in the offer). A voucher will be included on the back of the new subscription permit letter.

Residents can subscribe online or pay over the phone by calling 0151 606 2004 during regular office hours.
