Calling Wirral creatives – music commission opportunities now open
Wirral-based creatives are being encouraged to apply for a series of exciting new music commissions as part of Liverpool Music Month and the Liverpool City Region Summer of Music 2026.
Whether you’re a musician, producer, community group, venue, creative organisation or an emerging artist with a great idea, this is your chance to get involved and bring something special to Wirral’s musical landscape.
What’s available?
Each borough in the Liverpool City Region has been allocated funding to commission new music-based activity. Projects could include:
- Live performances or gigs
- Workshops or community participation projects
- Installations or sound art
- Music-led events or creative collaborations
- Activities supporting local talent, young people or grassroots culture
The scheme aims to support creativity, celebrate local talent and help build momentum across the City Region ahead of Liverpool Music Month this summer. Up to 20 commissions will be supported.

- Anyone with a strong idea for a music-led project in Wirral
