Property projects large and small from across Wirral have been nominated for awards at a regional event.

The awards help to showcase the work which has been helping change the borough’s landscape and ten Wirral schemes are among those shortlisted in the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards.

The awards cover a range of categories including ‘Property Developer of the Year’, ‘Best Large New Home Development’, ‘Apartment Development of the Year’, ‘Property Industry Supplier’, ‘Residential Property Agency of the Year’, ‘LCR Business of the Year’ and ‘City Region Champion’.

Chair of Wirral Council’s Economy, Regeneration and Housing Committee, Cllr Mark Skillicorn, wished all the projects in the borough nominated for awards well.

Cllr Skillicorn said:

Being recognised in this way is great for the developers and also shows the breadth of work taking place across Wirral. The nominees include a diverse range of developments — from smaller, locally-focused schemes to landmark projects like Millers Quay, which carry wider regional significance. Each plays a valuable role in shaping the area's housing landscape.

Among those nominated are projects in New Ferry and in Moreton. Both were council-owned sites which, in conjunction with partners, were used to deliver new houses. The Moreton site offers shared ownership opportunities as well to help people on the property ladder who would not be able to afford to buy.
