Taylor Swift-inspired attraction heading to the Pyramids

17 July 2026
Sound City's Summer of Music is heading to Birkenhead

Birkenhead will host a Taylor Swift-inspired attraction celebrating music, culture and community when the Speak Now Installation Tour arrives between July 24 – 31 July.

Part of Sound City's Summer of Music 2026 programme, the installation at Pyramids Shopping Centre will reimagine and repurpose the much-loved Taylor Town trail, which originally formed part of Liverpool’s celebrations for Taylor Swift's concerts in 2024.

The vibrant installation will be located outside the Pyramids food court.

Visitors can enjoy a range of free music-focused activities, artist showcases and interactive experiences organised by community groups Rising Tides Music Centre and Future Yard, alongside live performances at the Pyramids bandstand.

Wirral is proud to be part of the Summer of Music 2026 celebrations. The events will give residents and visitors the chance to enjoy live performances, celebrate local culture and take part in a range of community-focused activities.

Summer of Music also provides a valuable platform for emerging talent, supports our visitor economy and showcases everything that makes Wirral such a vibrant place to live, work and visit.

Cllr Jenny Johnson, Chair of the Tourism, Communities, Culture and Leisure Committee

The Speak Now Installation Tour is one of several Summer of Music events taking place across Wirral and the wider Liverpool City Region.

We can't wait to bring the Summer of Music to the Wirral, supporting fantastic events alongside our own exciting programme.

The Speak Now installation at the Pyramids provides a unique opportunity for local community groups to create and host their own days of activity, bringing people together through music, creativity and culture.

Alongside this, we have an exciting programme of shows and performances planned, and we can't wait to surprise everyone with what's in store.

Chas Moody, Project Manager for Sound City

Dan Smith, Co-Founder of Rising Tides Music Centre is hoping that the event can help inspire the next generation of musicians.

Music has the power to bring young people together, build confidence and unlock creativity. Events like this provide a valuable opportunity for children and young people to engage with music in a positive and inspiring environment, regardless of their experience level.

We're delighted to be involved alongside Sound City, an organisation that plays a vital role in championing emerging talent and creating pathways into the music industry. By working together, we can help inspire the next generation of musicians, performers and creatives.
