The Pear Tree Café is pen at Equilibrium Family Hub!
A brand-new café has opened at Equilibrium Family Hub – and it’s here for everyone! Thanks to support from Magenta Living and Family Hubs funding, the Pear Tree Café is now open Monday to Friday. It’s a warm, welcoming place where you can enjoy tasty food, meet friends, and feel part of the community.
The café was created by Sharon Munroe and her team at Equilibrium. Sharon says:
The Pear Tree Café at Equilibrium Family Hub has been lovingly created by our little team, to help bring people together over good food and social activities. We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers and workers who have put their hearts and souls and endless hours, into creating an amazing space for people to meet and greet.
What’s on at the café?
The Pear Tree Café isn’t just about food – it’s about helping the community. Every week, they offer:
- Free food at Monday’s stay and play sessions
- Free lunches on Wednesdays for the Wellbeing Group and Warm Hub
- Free community breakfast every Friday
The rest of the time, you can buy delicious, low-cost meals and drinks. The café is not-for-profit, which means any money made goes straight back into helping local people.
What is a Family Hub?
Family Hubs are friendly places for all families with children aged 0–19 (or up to 25 if they have special educational needs). You don’t need an appointment or referrals, just walk in! You’ll find helpful staff and lots of support, from fun activities for your child to wellbeing advice for your family.
Equilibrium is part of the Wirral Family Hub network, which has over 25 hubs across the area.
