Council leader's message to A-level students

The big day has arrived for A-level students in Wirral who are receiving their results this morning.
I would like to say a massive ‘well done’ to Wirral students - and their teachers – who have worked very hard to achieve the exam results they have received today.
The journey starts now in many ways – some will be going off to higher education, some will be looking for work or beginning training or apprenticeship schemes. Whatever the next stage is, I wish all our young people the very best of luck.
For some, that next step might still be uncertain so for those students I’d encourage them to take advantage of the range of help, support and advice there is out there on careers and education in the days and weeks to come.
