This week (4-10 March) is LGBT+ Adoption and Fostering week. It’s a week to celebrate those who have gone through the process and to raise awareness for those wanting to adopt or foster.

Cllr Paul Stuart talks to us about his family's experience of fostering.

Adoption in Merseyside has found families for over 380 children in the past 5 years. However, there are currently 55 children in Merseyside still waiting for an adoptive family.

Gareth and Wendy have been fostering for nearly nine years. Already parents themselves, the couple wanted to foster as their two sons had grown up and they had room to spare.

Wirral are in need of more foster carers to help keep siblings together by offering them room together in their hearts and home.
