Wirral Council faces a £10 million shortfall in its budget this year and unless urgent action is taken faces a further £67million gap over the next three years.
Members of the Policy and Resources committee met to consider the budget proposals, which would set the budget for the coming year with total savings and efficiencies across the authority totalling £25.446m.
Every year auditors examine how Councils are managing their finances and make a report with their assessment so that people can see how their money is being spent.
