Hear from one of our volunteers as she talks about her experience as one of Wirral’s Tree Wardens.

The Tree Warden scheme is a year-round voluntary social community of nature lovers, now led by the council locally and overseen nationally by the Tree Council.

Whether you enjoy getting involved in your local community, learning more about the nature around us or just enjoy being outside and/or meeting like-minded people, there are a variety of activities available to those who join the network.

Just some of the things you can get involved with as a Wirral Tree Warden include:

  • tree planting and maintenance
  • training and learning
  • book clubs
  • nature walks
  • photography competitions

Watch the video below to hear from Katherine, a volunteer already signed up to the scheme, as she tell us about her experience.
