20mph speed limits - why we are introducing them and the benefits
The roll out of the first phase of new 20mph speed limits is ongoing, with roads across 15 areas getting new signage and road markings ahead of the speed limits becoming enforceable.

We are hoping that the main areas that will benefit will be around shopping areas, will be residential areas where people live but also, we're focusing quite significantly on schools. We want schools to be a lot safer. We want to make that school run a safer experience for everybody.
