Record-breaking Youth Market to showcase Wirral's young entrepreneurs
More than 85 young traders and performers will take part in this month's Wirral Youth Market in Bromborough, making it the biggest Youth Market event ever held in the borough.
The event, which takes place on Saturday 22 August, will transform Bromborough town centre into a showcase for Wirral’s young businesses, creative enterprises and live performances, giving visitors the chance to discover local talent while supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs.
The popular event provides young people with the opportunity to gain valuable real-world trading experience, connect with customers and test their ideas in a live market environment.
This year's Youth Market will also place a stronger focus on supporting young people beyond the event itself by helping them develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to turn their ideas into successful businesses.
Funded through the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority's Local Growth Fund, the event includes additional support delivered through the Wirral Business Support Service, giving young entrepreneurs access to specialist advice and guidance designed to help them take the next step on their business journey.
As well as trading on the day, participants will be able to access workshops, one-to-one mentoring and practical business support, helping them to develop business plans, better understand how to grow their enterprise and access expert advice on starting and running a business.

It's fantastic to see such a strong response to this year's Youth Market, with more than 85 young traders and performers signing up to take part, making it our biggest event yet.
The Youth Market is about much more than selling products for a day. It's about giving young people the confidence, experience and support they need to develop their ideas, learn new skills and explore opportunities for the future.
What makes this year's event particularly exciting is the additional business support offer. Young people won't just have the chance to showcase their talents, they'll also be able to access practical advice, mentoring and guidance to help them take the next step on their business journey.
We don't know where the next successful local business, entrepreneur or employer will come from, but initiatives like this help create those opportunities. By investing in our young people today, we are investing in Wirral's future.
Previous Youth Markets have supported hundreds of young traders and performers, with many going on to develop successful businesses, build new customer bases and gain recognition for their achievements. The events have also attracted tens of thousands of visitors and brought additional footfall into town centres across the borough. Registrations for this year’s event have surpassed the previous highest number of applications received for a Youth Market event in the borough, building on the success of the events which started in 2023.
Visitors to Bromborough can expect a vibrant mix of market stalls, creative products, food and drink, arts and crafts, alongside performances from talented young musicians and entertainers from across Wirral, plus free children’s fairground rides
The event takes place on Saturday 22 August, from 10am to 4pm, on Allport Lane, Bromborough, and is free to attend.
