Musicians from across Wirral and the Liverpool City Region are being invited to apply for a chance to perform at Busk on the Beach, a free live music event taking place on Friday 22 August at Fort Perch Rock, New Brighton Promenade.

Part of the Liverpool Summer of Music programme, Busk on the Beach is a collaboration between Wirral Council, Sound City, Liverpool City Council and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. The event will feature a day of stripped-back live performances from a diverse mix of emerging and established artists between 12pm and 6pm.

Applications are now open for performers who would like to take part. Eight artists will be selected to perform on the day and will each receive £100.

To apply, email sean.knibb@soundcity.uk.com with information about yourself and your music, along with links to performance videos where possible.

Whether you're looking to discover new local talent or enjoy live music by the coast, Busk on the Beach promises an afternoon of great sounds in a unique seaside setting.
