Graphic saying 'calling all wirral employers'
Local employers across Wirral are invited to a breakfast event focused on helping businesses find and support young local talent.

Taking place on 23 June in partnership with Wirral Chamber of Commerce, the event will bring together local employers and support organisations to share practical advice on recruiting young people. You’ll find out more about apprenticeships, funding available, and the support on offer across the Liverpool City Region to help businesses grow their teams.

Whether you’re a small business looking to take on your first young employee, or a larger organisation wanting to strengthen your talent pipeline, the session will offer clear, practical guidance you can use straight away.

The event will also highlight support available through the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer, Metro Mayor’s Young Person’s Guarantee and the Wirral Apprentice Programme. These initiatives are designed to help young people into work, while making it easier for employers to find the right people.

Through these programmes, employers can benefit from:

  • Access to young people who are ready and supported to work
  • Advice on apprenticeships, training options and entry-level roles
  • Help to build a reliable pipeline of future staff

There is also a range of funding and financial support available, including:

  • Onboarding support grants per new young recruit
  • Government incentive payments for eligible apprentices
  • Help with finding candidates and settling them into the role

This support can make it much easier - and more affordable - to take on new staff, especially for smaller businesses.

The breakfast is also a great opportunity to meet other local employers, share experiences, and speak directly to organisations who can support your recruitment needs.

Places are limited and early booking is encouraged, register for your ticket here.
