SENDLO Live brings SEND support together in one place

Families, children and young people are invited to SENDLO Live, a free event at The Hive Youth Zone on 12 October.

The event will bring together the people, services and organisations that support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Wirral.

It is a chance to find information, ask questions and learn about the help available for your family.

Attendees can meet the people who provide Wirral's SEND Local Offer and speak with members of Wirral's Local Area SEND Partnership. There will also be a large information marketplace featuring education, health and care services from across Wirral.

Community organisations will be there too, sharing information about activities, advice and support for the whole family.

Families can find out more about the new Graduated Approach and what it means for children and young people with SEND. There will also be a Neurodiversity Hub where people can learn about the new Knowing Me profiling tool.

The event will include information about Preparation for Adulthood, helping young people and families understand the support available as they plan for adult life.

There will also be tours of The Hive building and young people will share how their independence and SEND have been supported.

A programme of talks and workshops will run throughout the day. Sessions will cover SEND processes, support available in Wirral and key transition points in a child's life.

Talks will be repeated during each session so that nobody misses out.

The day will be split into three two-hour sessions, allowing attendees to visit the marketplace, hear talks and take part in workshops.
