Food waste caddy collection update

A update on food waste collections 
We’re reading comments about missed or delayed food waste collections as the new service beds in and we wanted to thank everyone affected for their patience. It’s a new service for our collection crews too and as they get to grips with all the new equipment, some rounds are taking longer than planned. We’ve also had some glitches with the new food waste collection vehicles which hasn’t helped.

The majority of delays are short - a day or two - and only a small number of rounds have been affected. If your collection isn’t made on the same day as your green or grey bin, please leave your food waste caddy out and crews will empty it asap. To help all our bin crews complete their rounds as quickly as possible, please leave your food waste caddy to the side of any other bin, rather than putting it on top or in front of another bin.

Again, we’re sorry if you’ve had any delays and we hope those of you using the service are seeing a positive benefit.
