Families across Wirral can enjoy more affordable days out this summer, thanks to reduced ticket prices at the Floral Pavilion and Bidston Sports & Activity Centre.

As part of the Government’s Great British Summer Savings initiative, VAT has been reduced from 20% to 5% on selected children’s and family activities. The savings are being passed directly on to customers at both venues.

At the Floral Pavilion, the reduced rate applies to children’s and family tickets, while at Bidston Sports & Activity Centre it covers all entry to the popular Soft Play and Tag Active zones. Children’s menu meals at both venues are also included.

The reduced pricing will run until 1 September 2026.

We know how important days out are for families, especially during the long school holidays, so it’s fantastic that we can pass these savings on directly, helping more young people to stay entertained, active and engaged over the summer.

Making these experiences more affordable means there’s never been a better time to come and enjoy them.

The Leader of Wirral Council, Councillor Paula Basnett
