Wirral Makefest - Birkenhead Library, 25 April 2026

Wirral Makefest returns to Birkenhead Central Library on Saturday 25 April 10am-4pm.

Aimed at all ages the fun, with no need to book, inclusive free one day event celebrates STEAM and creativity with a sustainable edge. Organised by Wirral Makefest CIC, the final year of delivery by the small but mighty team, will be your chance to explore dozens of hands-on activities, live demonstrations, information stalls and family-friendly activities. 

From digital making and robotics to traditional crafts, artists, craftspeople, coders and makers,  Wirral Makefest highlights the extraordinary creativity found across Wirral and the wider region. Visitors will be encouraged to explore, experiment and take part and the team from Eureka! Science + Discovery who will also have their Robot Show at 11am and 1pm where you’ll explore the fascinating world of robotics with their robot dog, Barkimedes.
