Families across Wirral can now start planning for the school break, as bookings for the Easter Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme 2026 are officially open. The programme provides free, fun, enriching sessions for children and young people who receive benefits‑related free school meals, and include a nutritious meal each day.

Wirral’s HAF programme offers an impressive range of clubs and activities hosted by local schools, community groups and specialist providers. This Easter, families will be able to choose from sports camps and creative workshops to holiday clubs and wellbeing sessions.

What’s on offer this Easter?

A wide variety of providers across the borough are taking part, with activities catering to different ages and interests. Listings include:

  • Beyond The Bell Easter Camp in Bromborough, offering engaging activities encouraging children to explore, learn and grow.
  • Beechwood Young Leaders (Amber Button Community CIC), supporting older children and teens with confidence‑building and leadership‑focused sessions.
  • Video Game Sports Camp at New Brighton Primary, combining gaming‑themed challenges with sports activities.
  • Back In The Game CIC Football Club, helping children build skills and confidence through inclusive football activities.
  • Tiny Tools for Big Feelings workshops designed to support emotional wellbeing in a safe, creative space.
  • Riverside Primary Spring Activity Camp in Wallasey, offering fun and enriching sessions for ages 8–11.
  • A selection of holiday clubs such as The Mulberry Tree Holiday Club, providing wrap‑around childcare and hands‑on activities.
  • Active Wirral Holiday Programme in Bidston, offering a wide mix of sports and creative activities for ages 8-15.

Each eligible child can attend up to four days of free holiday provision, with lunch included, helping families access high‑quality, local holiday opportunities without financial strain. Some clubs also offer paid places for children who are not eligible for a funded spot.

Who can book?

Children and young people who receive benefits‑related free school meals (FSM) are eligible for funded HAF places. Families who do not receive FSM can still book paid places where available. Booking is now live and managed directly through the Eequ platform.
