Community Asset Transfer window opens

No final decision will be made before the relevant Service Committees meet in the new Municipal Year when they will consider the responses received as a result of the public consultation.

In the meantime, Expressions of Interest are now invited for a number of these council assets under the council’s Community Asset Transfer policy.

Community Asset Transfer is about giving local people and community groups greater control in the future of their area. It gives local groups the chance to own or manage community buildings and encourages a stronger community spirit by bringing people from different backgrounds together to work towards a shared goal.
