Get vaccinated across Wirral this summer

In July and August, Wirral residents can catch up on their missed vaccinations thanks to a roving health service.

Popping up in locations across the borough each week, the Living Well Service will be offering all routine vaccinations. The scheme also offers health checks and wider wellbeing guidance at the heart of communities.

The Living Well Service, which provides ‘drop in’ health clinics by bus, is built on the principles of bringing the right services to local communities and helping reduce barriers to accessing care.

Residents can access the Living Well bus at any of the following pop ups:

• Friday 26 July - Birkenhead Town Centre, Grange Road, CH41 6EA (Parking between ASDA and Primark) from 10.30am – 4pm.
• Monday 29 July - Birkenhead Park Visitors Centre, Park Drive, Birkenhead, CH41 4HY, 9.30am – 3pm.
• Thursday 1 August - West Kirby Concourse, Grange Road, West Kirby, CH48 4HX, 10.30am - 4pm.
• Thursday 8 August - Twickenham Drive, Leasowe, Wirral, CH46 2QE, 10.30am – 4pm.
• Saturday 10 August - Floral Pavilion, Marine Promenade, New Brighton, Wallasey, CH45 2JS, 10.30am – 4pm.
• Wednesday 14 August - ASDA, Woodchurch Road, Woodchurch, Birkenhead, CH49 5PD, 10.30am – 4pm.
• Friday 16 August - Tesco Extra, Bidston Link Road, Birkenhead, CH43 7AA, 10.30am – 4pm.
• Wednesday 21 August - Cherry Tree Centre (car park), 6-8 Cherry Square, Liscard, Wallasey CH44 5XU, 10.30am – 4pm.
• Saturday 24 August - Birkenhead town centre, between ASDA and Primark, 10.30am – 4pm.

With no appointments necessary, the service’s clinical team will also offer physical health checks and mental health support, alongside vaccinations. Staff operating the bus can offer on-the-spot blood pressure and pulse checks, as well as checks for cholesterol levels, blood glucose and BMI. They can also refer people directly to talking therapies for mental health support.
