Take a guided walk around Eastham Country Park this spring/ summer

Learn about the heritage of Eastham Country Park through a guided circular walk with Dr David Mottram. 

The guided walks will start at Eastham Ferry Landing Stage, 1 Ferry Road, CH62 0AU and last around 1hr 30mins.

Through the walks, you will learn all about the history of the area and relive the 1840s to 1920s, when the area was Eastham’s Victorian Pleasure Gardens providing extensive attractions and entertainments for day trippers on the Liverpool to Eastham Ferry. The attractions included circus acts, a boating lake, water chute, loop-the-loop railway and a zoological garden.

Walks will be taking place on:

  • Saturday 20 April at 11am to 1:30pm 
  • Monday 27 May at 11am to 1:30pm 
  • Saturday 22 June at 11am to 1:30pm 
  • Friday 26 July at 11am to 1:30pm 
  • Saturday 17 August at 11am to 1:30pm 

No need to book to attend, just turn up on the day at the meeting point (Eastham Ferry Landing Stage, 1 Ferry Road, CH62 0AU).

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for a woodland walk. No accessible routes are available.
