Chris says: “Being on tour is something I really enjoy, seeing people and being with people is part of my experience as a performer. I will be playing songs from the Squeeze catalogue and from the solo albums I have recorded over the last 23 years.

“My story is told through stand up and some sit down, a trip back to my council estate in South London, from my very first lyrical expression to the dressing rooms of this show.

“My new songs written with Boo Hewerdine tell a story of celebration, 25 years writing lyrics and playing on stages big and small. A journey I look back on with great fondness and gratitude.

“I can’t wait to climb back on stage and perform, although I have been shy in the past, I now find myself feasting on the here and now deep within the shell-like of your ear. I will be joined on stage by Melvin Duffy on his pedal steel and together we will deliver an evening of warm, and I hope funny stories. Melvin’s playing is outstanding and I feel so lucky to have him as my sideman, he cries over the songs and makes them sound always amazing. 'Not Only But Also' is not just a look back on 50 lyrical years, it's a journey that asks, What Happened? What happened to all those years and mates I grew up with before I formed a band.”

And then on Monday 13 October the Floral Pavilion welcomes Tim Peake with his show ASTRONAUTS: The Quest to Explore Space Tour.

With fewer than 650 people having reached Earth's orbit, nobody is more qualified than Tim to celebrate the historic achievements and human endeavours of space exploration. Up until now, Tim has brought his own incredible journey to life through unparalleled storytelling and extraordinary archive footage. In this new show, Tim will share the remarkable stories of some of his fellow astronauts and explore the spectacular evolution of space travel.

From the first forays into space in the 1950s, to the first human missions destined for Mars, Tim will traverse the final frontier. As he recounts the awe-inspiring endeavours of astronauts across the ages, Tim will reveal what spaceflight is truly like: from the wondrous view of Earth, living in weightlessness, the unique dangers and unexpected moments of humour, to the years of training and psychological and physical pressures that an astronaut has to take on.

This is a chance to see for 'Astronauts: The Quest to Explore Space' this Autumn following his sold-out success in 2024. The journey has only just begun...come and join Tim for this one-of-a-kind show launching at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton with tickets now available at Tim Peake - Astronauts - Floral Pavilion
