Floral Brochure being held up, with theatre in background

The new brochure with all the information on the incredible new shows coming to New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion theatre is out now.

Wirral’s popular seaside venue has a show for everyone. And now with its fresh new look and design, the latest Floral Pavilion brochure brings you even more information about the upcoming shows.

The brand-new summer edition includes peeks behind the scenes to give you an extra insight into the amazing productions heading to New Brighton, including a new adaptation of the classic The Shawshank Redemption, and Charles Dickens’ dark tale of The Signalman. For warm-hearted and hilarious drama there’s Living The Life of Riley, starting Coronation Street’s Vicki Entwistle.

If you’re looking for something to stretch your mind – and your vocabulary – you’ll enjoy Word Perfect with Susie Dent. Countdown’s Dictionary Corner star visits with a new collection of facts and stories from the wonderful world of words.

And as ever, there’s musical performances for every taste. There’s fantastic original music by the likes of the British Queen of Blues Elkie Brookes, Squeeze’s Chris Difford, and Nik Kershaw returns for another evening of songs, stories and silliness. Shows direct from the West End include Seven Drunken Nights, the ultimate feel-good Irish show telling the story of The Dubliners, and the Simon & Garfunkel Story, which has the seal of approval from none other than Art Garfunkel himself! And of course there’s plenty of opportunities to party to the classics, with great artists playing the music of legends including Buddy Holly, Tom Jones and Dusty Springfield.

Details of all these and many, many more are in the latest brochure. Pauline Campbell, the Floral Pavilion Venue Manager, said:

This is a really exciting edition for us, as we’re introducing some changes to the brochure's format.

You’ll still find all the information on our upcoming programme, but with a few new features. One is that we’ve changed how shows are listed – they’re now grouped by genre, not date. This makes it even easier for you to find your favourite star dramas, music, comedy, family shows and star appearances, all together. Don’t worry, there’s a new calendar on the back pages, so you can still plan out your season in date order.

You’ll also find more insights than ever before from behind the scenes of some of our upcoming shows. From interviews with stars like Divina de Campo, to quizzes that test your musical knowledge, we hope these give you more insight than even before into the amazing range of shows we have coming up.

And while it’s only just summer, we still can’t wait for panto season! We’ve already started revealing the cast, and the brochure includes a few words from the much-loved Sean Jones, who we’re delighted to be welcoming back to the Floral for another season. There’ll be more updates to come over the next few months, so keep an eye on our channels over the coming months.

You can pick up a copy of the new brochure from the Floral and venues across Wirral, or for information on all shows log on to the Floral Pavilion website.
