Health Information Week - Library to host 'info marketplace'
Wirral Libraries are hosting an ‘info marketplace’ featuring representatives of local groups who help support health & well-being in the borough to mark Health Information Week.
The event is part of the Health Information Week national campaign promoting high-quality information for the public that takes place from 20th-26th January 2025
The aim is to provide reliable health information to assist people in staying healthy and managing illnesses effectively, to give a better quality of life.
As part of the week-long promotions Wirral Libraries are hosting the ‘marketplace’ providing a chance to come along and meet representatives of various local groups and find out how they can help support health & wellbeing.
The event is free to attend, and visitors can just drop in for a chat. In addition free refreshments will be provided by Home Instead.
Organisations taking part include the Falls Prevention Service, Wirral Ways to Recovery, Wirral Environmental Network, Wirral Stroke Team, Wirral Mind, Active Wirral, The Reader, Diabetes UK and Wirral Diabetic eye screening.
Also expected are Macmillan, Age UK, Wirral Met, Citizens Advice, NHS Talking Therapies, Wirral Libraries, Wirral Lifelong Learning, Public Health Wirral, Health Watch Wirral and Wirral & Chester Breast Screening Programme.
The event takes place at Birkenhead Library, Borough Road, Birkenhead CH41 2XB on Thursday 23rd January 2.30pm-4.00pm
