Floral Pavilion celebrates success of smash show as more are lined up

The Shawshank Redemption has captivated audiences and drawn massive audiences during its 7-show run making it the biggest hit of the Floral Pavilion’s current season.

With glowing reviews and a surge of first-time visitors, the production has marked a new chapter for the venue, reaffirming its place as a cultural cornerstone of the Wirral.

Venue Manager Pauline Campbell said she has been thrilled by the response of audiences to the show:

We’ve been absolutely blown away by the reaction to The Shawshank Redemption. It’s been our most successful long-running play in recent memory – not just in terms of ticket sales, but in the number of new faces we’ve welcomed through our doors. It’s a real testament to the appetite for high-quality theatre here on the Wirral.

The success of Shawshank Redemption and The Signalman before it is just the beginning, with the Floral Pavilion proud to be attracting further prestigious productions., with exciting announcements set to be made soon.

The coming weeks and months will see exciting announcements and audiences can expect a diverse and dynamic programme that continues to raise the bar.

Next up is the much-anticipated family pantomime Sleeping Beauty, a festive favourite that promises fun for all the family and continues the Pavilion’s tradition of seasonal magic with a cast that blends West End brilliance, TV favourites, and local legends, including pop icon and TV star Kelle Bryan bringing warmth and wow-factor as Fairy Snowfall and Olivier Award-winner and CBBC favourite Cleo Demetriou in the title role as Princess Rose.

Sean Jones is also back by popular demand as Lester the Jester with his riotous comedy and Quinn Patrick as Nanny Nora is the larger-than-life dame with glittering heels.
