Birkenhead Market to host its biggest-ever Craft Fair this weekend
Art and craft lovers will have another opportunity to enjoy browsing thousands of unique hand-made items this weekend as Birkenhead Market is set to host its biggest-ever Craft Fair.
More than 120 makers, bakers and creatives will be showcasing their one-off pieces, including jewellery, fashion, gift cards, textiles, wood workings, paintings and prints.
Food lovers can also enjoy the freshest cakes and savouries made by local artisan bakers.
Councillor Mark Skillicorn, Chair of Wirral Council’s Economy, Regeneration & Housing Committee, said:
We are so fortunate to have so many amazing makers in Wirral, bringing colour and creativity to our communities. It’s a real treat to bring so many of them together and be able to browse and enjoy their wares all under one roof.
If you’re looking for something fun and inspiring to do this weekend, you really don’t want to miss it.
Live music will be provided during the day by vocalist and musician, Helen Delamere, who returns by popular demand.
Little ones will be well catered for, too, with FREE kids activities throughout the day and the first 50 children through the doors will receive a FREE funky ponytail or headband courtesy of Facepaint Fever – giving them the perfect fun market day look!
The Craft Market will take place in Birkenhead Market’s covered outdoor space, which is right next to Birkenhead Bus Station, offering fantastic bus connections across Wirral and to Liverpool, Ellesmere Port and Chester.
Rail access couldn’t be easier, too, with Birkenhead Central, Conway Park and Hamilton Square Stations all within a short walking distance of the Market.
Ample parking is also available nearby at The Grange and The Pyramids carparks.
The Craft Fair takes place on Saturday 5 July between 10am and 4pm.
