Your opportunity to make your mark on the West Kirby flood wall
West Kirby promenade has always been a popular place for residents and visitors to request commemorative plaques. Now, with the establishment of flood defence wall along South Parade, there are more spaces available and ready to book.
Whether people want to celebrate a loved one, mark a significant milestone in their life, or create a lasting tribute to someone they have lost, the opportunity to leave some special words on this coastal landmark is bound to be popular.
Crafted from stainless steel and available in two sizes, people can pay to lease plaques that will be mounted on the seating slats along the wall for either five or 10 years, with the option to renew or extend at any time.
People can choose their preferred spot along the wall from Riversdale Road to Sandy Lane, subject to availability, but those ordering should be clear that they are paying only for the plaque and the lease – they are not buying the seat itself and there are likely to be multiple plaques in each area.
