New contractor brings military precision to managing Wirral's trees

A company set up by three military veterans is now in charge of ensuring Wirral’s trees are kept in tiptop condition.

Cheshire-based company Arborforce is Wirral Council’s new contractor for tree maintenance and began work from a satellite base in Barnston last week.

Arborforce Group Ltd was established in 2019 by military veterans, Dan, Mike and Loy, who had retrained in arboriculture through the British Training Board upon leaving the Forces. The company will have three teams working in Wirral helping the council’s tree officers manage and maintain public trees across Wirral.
