It's time to sign up for 2025-26 garden waste collection service

The window for new subscribers to Wirral Council’s kerbside garden waste collection service is now open.

From today (April 22nd) people who already subscribe to the service but pay by card can also renew their subscription or make any changes they may want to, such as adding or reducing the number of brown bins they pay for.

Households that already subscribe to the fortnightly service and pay by direct debit should have automatically had their subscription renewed.

Due to the costs of providing this service rising, the cost of subscribing to receive kerbside garden waste collections in 2025-26 will be £57.80 for the first bin. It will be £33.50 for each additional brown bin.

The new subscription period runs from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026.

Existing subscribers can make changes to their service by visiting wirral.gov.uk/MyWirral and selecting ‘more services – garden waste update’ or ‘cancel your Direct Debit arrangement’. Alternately, they can call 0151 606 2004 during regular office hours.
