In Wirral, we have a group of dedicated volunteers with a passion for Trees - Wirral’s Tree Wardens, and we have over 70 people involved so far.

This network of keen volunteers is organised by the council and overseen nationally by the Tree Council.

Sam Village, the National Tree Warden Scheme Co-ordinator at the Tree Council, in the video below tells us a little bit about the role of a Tree Warden and thanks all of our volunteers for the amazing work that they do.

Sam Village, the National Tree Warden Co-ordinator at the Tree Council, provides an overview of the Tree Warden scheme and what you can get involved with as a Tree Warden, and also extends a thanks to Tree Wardens, both nationally and in Wirral for all the fantastic work they are doing.

Volunteers are the eyes, ears and voice of trees in their community.

Tree Wardens do some fantastic work. They’re either tree planting, looking after trees, growing trees from seed, encouraging the community to get involved with trees, raising awareness.
