Garden Waste subscription window now open
Due to the costs of providing this service rising, the cost of subscribing to receive kerbside garden waste collections is now £50 – up from £43 – for the first bin. It will be £30 for each additional bin (previously £25).
If you wish to sign up for collections, there are a number of payment options. As well as debit card, a Direct Debit payment option is available, so you can avoid having to sign up every year. To pay by Direct Debit, you will need to sign in to your free MyWirral account. If you do not have a MyWirral account, you can create one at wirral.gov.uk/MyWirral.
Households that already subscribe to the fortnightly service and pay by direct debit will automatically have their subscription renewed unless they inform the council that they wish to cancel by 24 April 2022.
We have teamed up with partners across the Council and are pleased to provide the following offers for all customers subscribing to the 2022/23 collection service:
- Buy any slice of cake and get a free hot drink (one per subscriber). Offer valid at New Brighton Floral Pavilion Café, West Kirby Sail Loft Coastal Kitchen and Williamson Art Gallery Café. A voucher for this will be included on the new subscription permit letter, including the terms and conditions of the offer.
- A free potted tree or shrub during the next planting season (one per subscriber). We will contact subscribers closer to the time with details of how this offer can be claimed.
The new subscription period runs from 1 June 2022 to 31 May 2023.
Existing subscribers can make changes or cancel their service by visiting wirral.gov.uk/MyWirral and selecting ‘request a service – garden waste update’ or ‘cancel your Direct Debit arrangement’. Alternately, they can call 0151 606 2004 during regular office hours.
