Sleeping Beauty set to awaken Wirral audiences

As the curtain rises for the start of ‘The Further Adventures of Peter Pan, The Return Of Captain Hook’, theatre staff at the Floral Pavilion are wide awake and already hard at work on next year's production, 'Sleeping Beauty'.

Pantomime is the venue's biggest annual theatrical event and sleep is the last thing on anyone's mind right now, as the theatre has just begun a run of 51 shows for this year's panto. 

‘We're not catching any Z's here,’ said Pauline Campbell Venue Manager at the Floral Pavilion, ‘While audiences are enjoying this year's performance, our team is already planning what promises to be another spectacular show.’ 

‘Our annual pantomime represents the theatre's most significant production of the year, drawing thousands of audience members and becoming a cornerstone of our seasonal entertainment lineup. Preparations begin a year in advance, there’s no magic wands here it’s 365 days of planning, scheduling, producing, casting, script development, set design, costumes, lighting and tech not to mention rehearsals as we get nearer the show.’

Sleeping Beauty is a fabulous family pantomime that promises a laugh-a-minute extravaganza with stunning sets, top musical hits, fantastic costumes, and exciting special effects to keep audiences both young and old entertained! 

The story of a beautiful Princess cursed by the evil Carabosse on the eve of her 18th birthday party and can only be awoken by true love's kiss. Can the Good Fairy’s magical spell break the curse? Will she find her true love and live happily ever after?
