The ‘how to become a childminder’ sessions are being run by the council’s Economic Growth and Early Years teams and will also offer advice from the council’s Universal Business Support Service. This is a UKSPF funded programme which is commissioned by the council and delivered by Wirral Chamber of Commerce, and offers all Wirral-based businesses a range of tailored free support to help them develop and grow.

The childminder advice sessions take place on the same day as the council’s Early Years Jobs Fair, which will give residents to chance to meet with a wide range of Early Years employers from across the borough, from nurseries such as Busy Bees, Partou and Kids Planet to primary schools.

A wide range of vacancies are being advertised, with roles will ranging from entry level positions for people looking to take their first step into the workplace to jobs for experienced childcare practitioners who want to take on a new challenge.

The childminder drop-in sessions will take place between 10am – 12pm, while the Jobs Fair will take place from 1pm – 4pm, with both events happening at The Lauries, 142 Claughton Road, Birkenhead, CH41 6EY.
