Have your say on proposed new Birkenhead Market designs
A series of in-person sessions to help people have their say on the design for the new Birkenhead Market begins this week, Monday September 16.
It follows proposed new designs and layout for the Market which have been developed over recent months.
The proposed designs indicate how the new revitalised Birkenhead based on Princes Pavement and next to town centre bus station could look, including potential layout for traders’ stalls.
The public currently being asked to give their views on the proposed designs for the new Birkenhead Market.
While this can be done via an online survey using the council’s ‘Have Your Say’ website there will also be in-person engagement sessions held in the Pyramids Shopping Centre.
The in-person events will include large format CGI images and floorplans outlining the design proposals.
They are taking place from Monday 16 September and continuing to Saturday 21 September near the food court, opposite Next in the Pyramids Shopping Centre from 11:30am - 1:30pm.
Market traders are also being asked to have their say on the designs and invited to an individual meetings with the council’s Market Development Consultant.
Work to strip out the unit which will house the new market is due to start mid-September to prepare it for being fitted out.
