More than 120 sellers, a pumpkin competition featuring creations from local schoolchildren and a market-wide trick-or-treat trail are set to bring a Halloween atmosphere to Birkenhead Market later this month.

Taking place from 9am to 1pm on Saturday 31 October, the event will give shoppers the chance to browse everything from vintage finds and collectibles to household goods, clothing and toys.

Adding to the Halloween atmosphere, a special pumpkin display created by pupils from Cathcart Street Primary School will be on show from Friday 30 October. The display will feature 30 hand-decorated pumpkins, with visitors invited to vote for their favourite as part of a public competition.

Young visitors can also enjoy a market-wide trick-or-treat experience, collecting a free treat bag before visiting indoor market traders to pick up sweets along the way.

The indoor car boot sale has become a regular fixture in the market calendar, attracting hundreds of shoppers each month and offering a unique opportunity to discover hidden treasures while supporting local traders and independent sellers.

The Halloween event is just one of a busy programme of activities planned at Birkenhead Market this autumn.

Two special craft markets will take place on 7 November and 5 December, showcasing local makers, handmade gifts and unique products, alongside live music and free family activities.

Running from 10am to 4pm, the events offer the perfect chance to shop local, enjoy a day out and discover everything Birkenhead Market has to offer.

Anyone interested in selling at the indoor car boot sale or upcoming craft markets can find booking information and register online via the Birkenhead Market website.
