Wirral Council is proposing to extend the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) covering the Hoole Road area of Woodchurch for a further three years to maintain reductions in anti-social behaviour (ASB).

Since the PSPO was introduced in December 2022, ASB reports have fallen significantly. Police recorded 178 incidents between May 2021 and May 2022, compared to 36 incidents between July 2024 and June 2025. Over the past three years, 44 Fixed Penalty Notices and warning letters have been issued for breaches of the order.

Residents can discuss the proposal at a drop-in session on Monday 1 December 2025, from 10am to 12pm, at Carr Bridge Centre, Carr Bridge Road, Birkenhead, CH49 8EU.

The formal consultation period will be open for two weeks and people can register their views by visiting the council's consultation website, Have Your Say.
