Final chance to have your say on the Birkenhead to Liscard project
Open until Monday 4 December, we are now in the final week of the consultation for the significant regeneration project proposed on the 3.5mile route between Birkenhead to Liscard.
Running from Chester Street, Birkenhead, connecting Hamilton Square station, Woodside Ferry, Wirral Waters, Seacombe Ferry Terminal, Eureka! Science and Discovery Museum and Liscard town centre, the plans for this route are designed to help make it easier for people to get to work, school or the shops – and simply create a more pleasant environment for people to travel along an spend time in.
To take part in the consultation, before time runs out, visit the council’s Have Your Say website and complete the online survey.
Plans for the project can also be found online or they can be viewed at Birkenhead Town Hall (and MAKE in Hamilton Square until 2 December). Improved pavements and crossing areas, more street furniture and seating and dedicated spaces to ride and park a bike (including tricycles and adapted bikes) are all included within the proposals.
For more information, including a video to show how streets could look and work, and to tell us what you think, visit haveyoursay.wirral.gov.uk/lcwip1
The consultation will be open until Monday 4 December 2023.
