Music, creativity, community and inspiring stories will come together this September as Recovery Fest returns to Wirral.

Taking place on Thursday 10 September from 10am to 5pm in Birkenhead Market, the free event celebrates addiction recovery and brings together people from across Wirral for a day of connection, support and celebration.

Whether you're overcoming addictions, supporting a friend or family member, thinking about making a positive change in your own life, or simply interested in learning more, Recovery Fest is open to everyone.

Organised by partners from across Wirral's addiction support community, the event aims to celebrate the strength, talent and resilience of local people while helping to challenge stigma and raise awareness of the support available across the borough.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities throughout the day, including:

Live music performances
Art and film exhibitions
Wellbeing sessions
Creative workshops
Storytelling
Spoken word and poetry
The Wirral Recovery Awards
Food and soft drinks

As well as a packed programme of activities, the event offers the chance to meet local organisations, discover support services and hear first hand how people have rebuilt their lives and strengthened connections with their families and communities.

The day will also feature the Wirral Recovery Awards, recognising the people, volunteers, professionals and organisations who have made a real difference to the lives of those affected by addiction across the borough.

A special highlight this year will be a bespoke celebration cookie designed by a contestant from The Great British Bake Off, created especially for the event.

Recovery is about much more than overcoming addiction. It's about rebuilding confidence, reconnecting with others and having the opportunity to thrive.
Recovery Fest is a chance to celebrate the many people across Wirral who show strength, determination and kindness every day. Whether recovery is part of your own story, someone's story you care about, or you'd simply like to learn more, I'd encourage people to come along and be part of what promises to be a really positive and inspiring day.

Recovery Fest is about celebrating what is possible, sharing stories of hope and making sure people know they do not have to face challenges alone.

Attendance is free, but booking a place through Eventbrite is encouraged.
