Full list of employers confirmed for Maritime & Engineering Jobs Fair
The full list of employers who will be attending the dedicated Maritime & Engineering Jobs Fair being held in Birkenhead town centre has now been confirmed.
Taking place on Wednesday 16 September, from 11.30am to 2pm at The Pyramids Shopping Centre in Birkenhead, the free event will bring together more than 20 employers, training providers and support organisations from across the maritime and engineering sectors.
Organised by Wirral Council in partnership with Mersey Maritime, the Jobs Fair will give residents the chance to meet employers face-to-face, discover current and upcoming vacancies, explore apprenticeships and training opportunities, and learn more about career pathways within the industries.
The event is part of the council’s ongoing Jobs Fair programme which is funded by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, through the city region’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) allocation. To date, around 4,600 residents have attended previous events, meeting more than 250 employers and training providers - with exit surveys showing that people have gone on to secure hundreds of interviews, training course enrolments, and job starts.
Employers from across the local maritime and engineering sectors are now confirmed to be attending promoting career paths at their organisations, and include:

- Balaena Birkenhead (formerly Cammell Laird) – promoting career paths at their organisation
- Denholm Industrial – recruiting for Industrial Painters
- Liverpool City Region Combined Authority – recruiting for Day/Night Electricians; Mechanical Fitters; and Apprenticeships in Asset Management
- Marine Specialised Technology Ltd – recruiting for Mechanical Fitters and Electrical Fitters
- OWS Engineering – recruiting for Steel Work Fabricators, Tank Welders, and Steel Work Platers
- Royal Air Force – promoting career paths at their organisation
- Royal Fleet Auxiliary – recruiting for apprenticeships and cadetships
- Stafforce Ports – recruiting for a range of port and multi-skilled operatives
- Star Engineering Ltd (Star International) – recruiting for apprenticeships in Warehouse, Distribution and Customer Service
- Stena Line – recruiting Port Service Operative, Talent Acquisition Partner, Customer Service Adviser (Full time or part time)
- Survitec – promoting career paths at their organisation
- Teledyne – recruiting various roles
- The Sea King Group – recruiting for Level 3 Electricians

Visitors will be able to speak directly with employers about vacancies, apprenticeships and future recruitment plans, as well as access careers advice and guidance from training providers and support organisations.
The Maritime & Engineering Jobs Fair takes place on Wednesday 16 September 2026, from 11.30am to 2pm, at The Pyramids Shopping Centre (opposite River Island), Birkenhead.
Residents can register in advance HERE or simply drop in on the day.
