Following hard on the heels of last week’s amazing Green Flag award announcements, Wirral’s parks and open spaces are set to host a range of events to celebrate Love Parks Week.

Love Parks is a week-long celebration led by Keep Britain Tidy that runs from 26 July until 4 August and it is aimed at highlighting the vital role green spaces play in boosting the health and wellbeing of residents and communities up and down the United Kingdom.

Wirral’s parks and greenspaces are hosting a variety of free and low-cost family-friendly events and activities during with Love Parks Week 2024, along with some opportunities for new people to join some of the regular volunteer groups.

Parks, great and small, offer an outdoor sanctuary, whether you use them to play, exercise, get some fresh air, walk your dog or meet up with friends – Wirral has some amazing parks and green spaces to enjoy and that need protecting for future generations.
