Environment, Climate Emergency and Transport Committee update
The latest meeting of the Environment, Climate Emergency and Transport Committee took place at Wallasey Town Hall on Monday 21st October 2024.

Electric Vehicles Charging Infrastructure Strategy
Members of the committee approved the draft strategy, which aims to support movement and connectivity on the highway network within the wider context of sustainable economic growth and regeneration. The strategy will also help to underpin the delivery of options of sustainable travel within the borough and the development of the strategy is seen as critical to align with and support other Council priorities, strategies and plans to encourage and support sustainable economic growth and regeneration of the borough.
Tree, Hedgerow and Woodland Strategy Progress Report
An update on the progress of this strategy was presented to the committee along with some suggested revisions to the initial strategy. The committee agreed to note the progress of the Tree, Hedgerow and Woodland Strategy 2020 to 2030, endorse the priority actions approved the revisions to the strategy.
Other items on the agenda last night included an update on the Council Plan Performance report for Quarter 1 around the ‘Protect our Environment’ theme and an update on the work programme for the committee
