Record turnout for largest-ever Wirral Youth Market
Almost 80 young entrepreneurs showcased their talents at the biggest Wirral Youth Market ever held, attracting around 10,000 visitors to Bromborough on Saturday.
The event brought together young traders from across the borough, ranging in age from just eight years old upwards, selling a wide variety of products including handmade clothing, artwork, baked goods and locally produced honey.
Alongside the market stalls, visitors enjoyed free family activities, fairground rides and live music throughout the day, creating a vibrant atmosphere for families and shoppers while supporting the borough's next generation of business talent.
The event was funded through the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority's Local Growth Fund and is part of Wirral Council's ongoing commitment to supporting young people to develop skills, confidence and entrepreneurial ambition.

The market gives young people a valuable opportunity to showcase their talents, develop new skills and gain real experience of running a business. The creativity, confidence and ambition on display in Bromborough was inspiring and demonstrates the strength of young enterprise across Wirral.
Since launching at the Cherry Tree Shopping Centre in Liscard in 2023, Wirral Youth Market has gone from strength to strength. Events held in New Brighton, Birkenhead and West Kirby have each attracted increasing numbers of young traders, helping to build a thriving community of aspiring entrepreneurs across the borough.
Young people attending the Bromborough event also have access to free advice and guidance from the Wirral Business Support Service, providing practical support to help them develop their business ideas and explore future opportunities.
The record-breaking turnout of both traders and visitors highlights the growing success of the Youth Market programme and the enthusiasm among young people across Wirral to turn their creativity and business ideas into future ventures.
