Man arrested after goal posts stolen from Arrowe Park playing fields
Merseyside Police have confirmed that a man has been arrested after goal posts were stolen from Arrowe Park playing fields.
It was reported at around 7.15am this morning (Monday 21 September) and officers were able to identify a suspect at a home in Woodchurch and the goal posts were retrieved.
A 29-year-old man from Woodchurch has been arrested on suspicion of theft. He is currently in custody.
These goal posts are used by the community on a regular basis so for them to be targeted shows how people involved in criminality have no regard for other people.
Thanks to the quick response from officers, we have been able to arrest a suspect and retrieve the goal posts. I hope this shows our community how seriously we take these reports.
