Calling future foster carers: Come on down to an information event
Residents from all walks of life are invited to join a thriving community of foster carers, each doing amazing things for the young people of Wirral.
Wirral Council is part of Foster4, a collaborative fostering recruitment hub in the Northwest.
As part of the drive to recruit more fantastic foster carers, the friendly Foster4 team are popping up in several locations across Wirral this month.
Locals are welcome to come along, say hello and find out more about becoming a foster carer with Wirral Council.
Throughout the month, you can find the Foster4 team at the following locations:
- Wed 2 Oct 11am-12pm |Rock Ferry Library
- Wed 2 Oct 1pm – 2:30pm | Bidston Sports Centre
- Wed 2 Oct 4pm –6pm | Guinea Gap Leisure Centre
- Fri 4 Oct 10am – 11:30am | Tesco, Heswall
- Tue 8 Oct 10:30am – 12pm | Carr Farm Garden Centre
- Tue 8 Oct 5:30pm-7:30pm | The Oval Leisure Centre
- Sun 13 Oct 10:30am – 4:30pm | The Croft, Bromborough (Outside Tapi Carpets)
Virtual information sessions are also available and can be booked in advance on the Foster4 website. You don't need to come to an event but is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have before you have an initial visit to your home from the fostering team.

“There are lots of different types of fostering available including short-term, long-term and emergency respite. If you want to find out more, come along to one of our information sessions and we can run through all the information with you.”
