Subscribe for garden waste collections for 2023-24

Residents can now subscribe to the brown bin service for 12 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.

If you would like to get your garden waste collected from the comfort of your own home, subscriptions are now open.

Garden waste collections can be used to dispose of grass cutting, weeds and leaves in a more environmentally friendly way.

Subscribers to the 2023-24 collection service will be able to claim a free tea or coffee when buying a slice of cake in the Floral Pavilion Café, The Sail Loft Coastal Kitchen and the Williamson Art Gallery and Museum Café (all teas and coffee is included in the offer). The offer voucher will be included on the back of the new subscription permit letter, including the terms and conditions of the offer.

To help meet the rising costs of providing the service, the subscription cost will be £52.50 for your first brown garden waste bin. Additional bins are £30 each.

The subscription year starts a little later than usual this year to allow for existing garden waste customers to receive a collection owed from 6 to 9 December 2022 – to ensure new subscribers receive the same number of collections for their yearly subscription fee, the usual pause to the service over winter will be shorter.

There are a few ways to apply for subscriptions:

Paying by Direct Debit means you can avoid renewing manually every year. To pay by Direct Debit, you will need to sign in to your MyWirral account. If you do not have a MyWirral account, you can create one for free at wirral.gov.uk/MyWirral.

If you are an existing garden waste customer and would like to keep receiving collections without interruption, please renew by 29 May 2022 (or 15 May 2023 if you would like to pay by Direct Debit).
