Your Neighbourhood, Your Say

Everyone’s invited to join the Wirral Growth Company team for their next public consultation event on Wednesday 12 February, which will be an opportunity to view and discuss the emerging exciting plans for bringing forward much-needed homes on the former Foxfield Primary School site in Moreton.

The site, which has been vacant since the school was demolished in 2018, has been selected as a priority site to be brought forward by the growth company. The upcoming consultation is to provide information on the proposals for the site and seek the views of local people.

The proposals for the new-look Foxfield site will look to repurpose the area to deliver approximately 69, two, three and four-bedroom homes, which will be delivered by the growth company, in collaboration with Lovell – a housing specialist with a long track record of delivering high-quality homes.

The site is close to shops and a range of amenities that Moreton town centre provides, along with excellent access to public transport.

Wirral Growth Company is a 50:50 joint venture partnership between Wirral Council and national urban regeneration innovators, Muse Developments. Together they are committed to delivering a long-term vision for regeneration, which creates spaces and places to benefit communities across the borough.

After the consultation event, the project team will prepare the final proposals for the site, review all the feedback and comments received and produce a Statement of Community Involvement, showcasing how comments have been considered and responded to wherever possible.

A planning application is currently being prepared and is anticipated to be submitted in Q1 2020.
